Liars (Us) live in Control

Known for their turbulent, intoxicating and inventive performances, Liars have settled as an unmissable live show. Blurring that thin line between electronic and acoustic, between the experimental impulse and the addictive pop sensibility, drum machines and experimenting with the acoustic guitar & sampling.

Their approach on music generated interest in the band and gained them a following amongst the post-punk revival scene of New York, especially after they were interviewed and filmed in performance for the Kill Your Idols documentary, along with bands like Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Black Dice. They signed with Mute Records, label who also promotes artists such as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, A Place To Bury Strangers, Recoil, Swans or Zola Jesus.

As a live act, Liars have reached that crucial point between well-rehearsed precision and the intuition that comes with having been a band for over a decade and sensing one another’s next move even when it’s not in the script.
